Karla Gravina

Karla Gravina holds a BA in Visual Arts with a degree in engraving from the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Her visual research began in 2005, addressing issues relating to circular form and its transformations, its references are in the Fibonacci sequence, general principles of taxonomy, golden ratio, and mathematical concept of the Moebius Tape. In 2005 Karla held her first individual exhibition, “Objetos” in Gallery of Niterói Art Foundation. In 2006 another exhibition “Memórias Documentadas” was held in French Alliance of Niterói. In 2007 she had her Project “Domingo no Campo” approved in a Centro Cultural Pascoal Carlos Magno convocation. Among exhibitions held with other artists are “Portáteis e Vestíveis”; “Novíssimos 2010”, Art Gallery of Institute Brazil United States, (2010); “Fuzuê” – FaceArte – Lago das Artes (2011), A Água e seu Papel” Caza Arte Contemporânea, Rio (2011); “COR LABOR AÇÃO”, Rio (2011); “Com Tantos Fios” – Federal Justice Cultural Center, Rio (2012); “Draws”, Affordable Art Fair Stockholm, Sweden (2015); POPUP Toulouse Clubhouse, Rio (2016); ”Transversais”, Centro Cultural dos Correios, Niterói (2018).
