Ira Sukrungruang is a Thai American writer born in Chicago. He is the author of the short story collection The Melting Season; two nonfiction books, Talk Thai: the Adventures of Buddhist Boy and Southside Buddhist; and the poetry collection In Thailand It Is Night.
