The shortlist for the Man Booker Prize for fiction was announced today.
The list includes Kiran Desai‘s The Inheritance of Loss, Kate Grenville‘s The Secret River, M.J. Hyland‘s Carry Me Down, Hisham Mater‘s In the Country of Men, Edward St. Aubyn‘s Mother’s Milk, and Sarah Waters‘s The Night Watch (interviews via Maud Newton).
Charles Bukowski’s work will find a home in the Huntington Library.
