Come for the readings, stay for the deals, and chat with editors, publishers and writers from across the country during this year’s Lit Mag Marathon Weekend, a much-anticipated summer event on New York’s literary calendar.
The weekend kicks off with “The Magathon” Reading at the New York Public Library, Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street, Saturday, June 9th, 4 pm to 6:30 pm. The event features 15-20 editors reading short selections from recent issues. On Sunday, June 10th, 12pm to 5pm, check out hundreds of great literary journals–including The Kenyon Review–at discount prices at Housing Works Used Book Caf??, 126 Crosby Street. Proceeds go to Housing Works, a nonprofit organization serving homeless people with AIDS, and the Council of Literary Magazines & Presses (CLMP).
