Sometimes I get a little bogged down in life’s garbage: work, buying cat food, vedging in front of the tube–and I forget what I do all this writing stuff for and why it’s so important to me. Sometimes I worry about losing the fire! When’s the last time you felt the fire? When’s the last time you realized that you were put on the earth to do this writing thing? Maybe you need to work on sounding your barbaric yawp? We all need to do that once in a while–or heck, every day! Don’t let the fear of writing or the fear of white space get you down.
Remember when it used to be fun–when writing was a way to find your own voice–to share your point of view–to be yourself–to BE? Remember that “the longer you wait to begin [finding your voice], the less likely you are to find it at all.”
Writing is all there is; writing is where it’s at!

Don’t lead a life of “quiet desperation.” You’re better than that!
Be the scribe you want to see in the world!
