Books can go anywhere, and so can poems…so why are so many flocking to the east side of the United States? Based on this map courtesy of The Poetry Atlas, the poems west of the Mississippi need to get cracking!

Picture this: You’re a writer. You’re thrilled that a critic you’ve long admired is reviewing your book—that is, until you read the review. Do you brush it off or go on the offensive? Here’s what happened when Jonathan Lethem chose to critique the critic.

Or this: You’re a writer. Your much-anticipated debut book is a Frankenstein, cobbled together from other people’s books. In other words, you’re a plagiarist, and now the world knows it.
