Representatives from five leading publishers—Boston Review, Kaya Press, Kenyon Review, One Story, Open Letter—discuss their experiences: the pitfalls, successes, and strategies of publishing digitally.
Thursday, 12 Noon, Wiliford A, Hilton Chicago, 3rd Floor: A Reading from the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop Instructors.
Held annually in the month of June, the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop is a week-long residential writing experience that focuses on the generation of new material in an intimate, creative, and productive setting. This reading by recent faculty offers the opportunity to hear the work of returning instructors and will include an audience guided Q&A about Kenyon’s process-oriented approach. Featuring David Baker, Rebecca McClanahan and Nancy Zafris.
Thursday, 3pm, Kenyon Review Table: A Book Signing with David Baker and the poets featured in his new book Talk Poetry (Univ. of Arkansas Press). The book collects poems originally published in KR and pairs them with interviews published on KROnline. Copies will be for sale at the table. The book features the work of Linda Gregerson, Fady Joudah, Ted Kooser, W.S. Merwin, Alice Notley, Meghan O’Rourke, Carl Phillips, Stanley Plumly and Arthur Sze.
Friday, 3pm, Kenyon Review Table: A Book Signing with Andrew Grace. Consulting editor Andrew Grace will sign copies of his book SANCTA, recently out from Ahsahta Press. Copies of Grace’s book will be available for sale during his signing.
Friday, 4pm, Kenyon Review Table: A Book Signing with Albert Goldbarth. Goldbarth will sign copies of his limited edition letterpressed “Photographs of the Interiors of Dictators’ Houses,” originally featured on KROnline. Limited edition letterpressed copies of Goldbarth’s poem will be available for sale during his signing.
