Katie Winkelstein-Duveneck is a writer and teacher originally from the San Francisco Bay Area who now lives in New York City. She writes essays and songs, and she teaches at Hunter College and at an addiction-recovery program. In 2021, Winkelstein-Duveneck was the recipient of a residency at The Resort writing community. She is currently at work on a book of essays that includes “Poor Historian.”
