Lea Schneider

Lea Schneider lives and works as a freelance author, translator, and critic in Berlin after extended periods living in China and Taiwan. Her writing is situated in the space between poetry, essay, and translation. Recent publications include a collection of Chinese poetry translated into German. She also works with the poetry collective G13 on performances and forms of collective writing. Her second volume of poetry, made in china, was published by Verlagshaus Berlin in 2020.

Bradley Schmidt, originally from rural Kansas, is based in Leipzig, where he works as a freelance translator and editor, as well as teaching translation and writing classes at Leipzig University. Other poems from this work in progress, made in china, have been published by Two Lines Journal. He is a former coeditor of No Man’s Land and assistant editor at Asymptote Journal.
