Rose Whitmore

Rose Whitmore’s writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Southern Review, Image, Alaska Quarterly Review, Mid-American Review, Missouri Review, Sun, Iowa Review, Colorado Review, and Fourth Genre. She is the recipient of the Peden Prize from Missouri Review, a work-study scholarship from the Breadloaf Writers’ Conference, and a residency from Hedgebrook. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow in fiction, she is currently a Jones Lecturer at Stanford where she is working on a novel about Olympic Weightlifting during Enver Hoxha’s communist regime in post-World War II Albania.
