Sara Lautman is a cartoonist and illustrator in Baltimore, MD. Her work has appeared with the New Yorker, Awl, Pitchfork Review, and elsewhere. The Ultimate Laugh, her fifth collection of cartoons, was nominated for an Ignatz Award in 2016. Her next collection of diary strips and short stories will be published by Birdcage Bottom Books in Spring 2017. Lautman is on faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art and editor of the comics section at Electric Literature's Okey-Panky magazine.
