Allegra Hyde is the author of Of This New World (University of Iowa Press, 2016) which won the John Simmons Short Fiction Award. She is the recipient of two Pushcart Prizes, as well as fellowships and grants from the Elizabeth George Foundation, the Jentel Artist Residency Program, the Lucas Artist Residency Program, and the US Fulbright Commission. She currently lives in Houston, Texas.
