George S. MacLeod

George S. MacLeod is a PhD candidate in French and Francophone Literature at the University of Pennsylvania. His dissertation looks at representations of violence in Francophone African literature and film, notably eye-witness accounts of the 1994 genocide of the Tutsi in Rwanda. In a forthcoming article in Études Littéraires Africaines he examines the prevalence of European-authored forwards and introductions to Tutsi survivor memoirs.
