Jeanie Thompson is the recipient of two Artist Fellowships in Literature (Alabama State Council on the Arts). Her poetry collections are The Seasons Bear Us (2009), White for Harvest (2001), Witness (1995, and How to Enter the River (1985). The Myth of Water, poems of the adult life of Helen Keller, is forthcoming. Thompson’s poems have appeared recently in Southern Women’s Review, Southern Review, and PoemMemoirStory (PMS). Founding director of the Alabama Writers’ Forum, Thompson also teaches in the Spalding University brief-residency MFA writing program.
