Kara Candito is the author of Taste of Cherry (University of Nebraska Press), winner of the 2008 Prairie Schooner Book Prize. She has received scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference. She has an MFA from the University of Maryland and is currently a PhD student in creative writing at Florida State University.
