Volha Hapeyeva (Вольга Гапеева) is a Belarusian poet, thinker, translator, and linguist, and the author of several books of poetry and prose (Niaholieny ranak (Unshaven morning), Prysak i požnia (Embers and Stubble), (v)iadomyja historyi (incr)edible stories), etc.). She has won literary prizes in Germany, Austria, Latvia, and Belarus. Forrest Gander’s most recent books of translation are Alice Iris Red Horse: Poems of Yoshimasu Gozo and Then Come Back: The Lost Neruda Poems.
