Elizabeth Merritt Abbott lives in Minneapolis with her wife. She received an MFA from the University of Minnesota and is a two-time recipient of the Minnesota Artist Initiative grant. Her work has previously appeared in the Iowa Review and The Common. She is currently curating a book-length work using her step-father's handwritten notes.
