Of Exile

Miriam Bird Greenberg is a poet with a fieldwork-derived practice, and the author of All night in the new country, Pact-Blood, Fevergrass, and In the Volcano’s Mouth, winner of the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Poetry Foundation and the NEA. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow, in 2017 she was a writer-in-residence at the National University of Singapore, and last year she was a fellow at the Jan Michalski Foundation in Switzerland. She is currently at work on a manuscript about the economic migrants and asylum seekers of Hong Kong's Chungking Mansions.
