Emily Mathis is a writer and dancer in Brooklyn. She was the 2024 nonfiction winner of Sonora Review’s erotic-themed contest and has received accolades from Miami Book Fair’s Emerging Writers’ Fellowship, the Hudson Prize (Black Lawrence Press), and the Deborah Tall Lyric Essay Book Prize (Seneca Review Books).
