janan alexandra is the author of come from (BOA Editions, 2025). A Gregory Djanikian Scholar in Poetry and recent winner of the Adrienne Rich Award for Poetry, janan currently teaches at Indiana University and in the Monroe County Correctional Center, edits poetry at The Rumpus, and helps curate the writing exercise Substack MONDAYS ARE FREE. janan is currently working on a book project that explores siblinghood, estrangement, and mythic family houses.
