Sophia Stid is a poet from California. She is the Ecotone Postgraduate Fellow at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she teaches creative writing and serves as associate editor of Ecotone. She received her MFA from Vanderbilt University in 2019. Stid is the author of the chapbook Whistler’s Mother (Bull City Press, 2021) and the winner of the 2021 Barthelme Prize for Short Fiction from Gulf Coast.
